Stephen R. Hart (born March 11, 1958) is a Canadian actor. He first portrayed Brother Jeremiah in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones and reprised the role for Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments.

Hazel-eyed, with pitch black hair and clothes, Hart is known for his tall height (6'11) and sonic boom voice and has a reputation for playing sinister villains.
Cassandra Clare announced his casting for the film on her Tumblr page and said: "Dude seems appropriately creepy to me. Also he will be buried under pounds of makeup and robes."
