Ravener demons are shapeshifters whose natural form is humanoid-shape, with seemingly scaly, thick, and rough skin, and jaws that split open in four different directions.[1] They have stingers that release lethal poison.[2]
History[]
In 2016, Valentine Morgenstern often employed several Ravener demons to do his bidding, particularly hunt for the Mortal Cup. Twice, Ravener demons took the form of people close to Clary in an attempt to get the Cup from her: one demon disguised itself as Dot, and the demon was killed by Jace Wayland,[1] and another time, a demon took Jace's form, but Clary saw through the charades and killed it herself.[3]
Trivia[]
- In the books, Ravener demons have a mix of reptilian and insectile features, while shape-shifting demons are instead categorized as Eidolon.
