SPOILER WARNING: Plot details follow. Caution is advised!

Morgan Young is a young woman and a member of the Relief Corps.

History[]

In 2016, Morgan was among those who threw a fundraiser for disaster relief. One night, she was attacked by an owl-faced being. Morgan screamed and fought back, and though most of her self-defense stood no chance, she was able to get free by using her pepper spray on him. She ran towards an approaching police patrol car and immediately reported the attack, but the creature had already gotten away.

This attack did not faze Morgan to the point of cancelling her event. The fundraiser continued as planned, where she was unknowingly watched by Shadowhunters in order to protect her and prevent the owl-faced man from attempting to possess her again. Despite their efforts to watch her all night, they lost track of her and found her outside the club too late as she had already been infected with a demon. Isabelle Lightwood chased after her, and they took her to the New York Institute, keeping the possessed Morgan in its lower levels' prison cells.[2]

The Shadowhunters attempted to interrogate Morgan but received no answers. Due to her possession, Morgan became driven to kill someone she loved: in her case, her twin sister Sarah. The possession also transformed her cells, making her physiology demonic, which the Shadowhunters discovered after studying her. Because her capture had the potential to compromise Lilith's plans, Lilith had Jace, her owl minion, take care of it. Jace went to the floor she was being held in and cast a spell that removed her demonic possession, freeing Morgan, who woke shortly after Jace left.[1]
