Joshua is a vampire of the Brooklyn vampire clan.

History[]

Joshua served as one of the vampires standing guard in the receiving area of the Hotel Dumort.[1]

Once, the Shadowhunter Alec Lightwood stormed into the hotel in search of his sister Isabelle who was letting Raphael Santiago, then the leader of their clan, feed on her. Joshua tried to stop him from entering but was knocked out fairly quickly.[1] When Isabelle returned a few days after, Joshua escorted her in. He gave the pair privacy and was thus not around when Isabelle threatened his leader's life.[2] When Raphael's sister died and Isabelle came to visit, Joshua once again walked her in.[3]

With Raphael driven out of the city,[4] the vampire Griffin took his place as the head of the clan. As a loyal subject of the clan, Joshua continued to protect their leader and began serving as Griffin's bodyguard.

When Heidi McKenzie came to the hotel looking for a place to stay, Joshua and Elle escorted her in, and also escorted her out when Griffin refused her request. Later, when werewolves of the Praetor Lupus arrived demanding Heidi's surrender, tensions rose and Joshua moved to protect their clan leader. He was pushed by Jordan Kyle when he tried to tell him to move. When another Praetor confirmed that Heidi wasn't around and Griffin demanded that they be sent out, Joshua pushed Jordan away and out, baring his fangs at him all the way.

Heidi returned shortly after and convinced the vampires to get revenge by attacking the Jade Wolf. Joshua and Elle agreed with Heidi and convinced Griffin to see their plan through. A battle broke out at the restaurant that resulted in heavy casualties on both sides.[5]
