Alicante is the home city of the Nephilim. It is the capital and only city of Idris.[1]

The city is surrounded by towers that look like glass,[2][3][4] called the demon towers, which serve as wards that protect it from demon invasions. The wards were also updated to block out anyone with a Circle rune.[3] It also alerts the Clave of Downworlders passing through it.[5]
Alicante also has a prison called the Gard, the Accords Hall, and a cemetery for disgraced Shadowhunters not interred or burned for the City of Bones.
