Okay so basically, his actual name is Jonathan Morgenstern, but to do what he did, he stole the identity of Sebastian Verlac, (how he wasn’t recognised as a morgenstern at first) then when it all came out he went back to his original name (or his actual name is Sebastian and stole the identity of Jonathan Verlac, but that sounds wrong). I’m pretty sure it’s the same as the books, I can’t actually remember why in the show but I know it’s similar
